A 6 classroom elementary school that includes a library and science rooms. The volumes of the different structures in the school were set as simple boxes like children’s box games. Each box is unique – defined by different color or mass. The classroom structure was designed as a mass that creates a clear facade to the street and at the same time acts as a noise barrier to give the school’s courtyards privacy. Phase B: Planning for an additional wing to the school that includes ten classrooms, offices, and science and technology rooms, as well as development for the outdoor areas (Phase B awaits approval).
